What is a Well Woman Ultrasound Scan package?
Well Woman Ultrasound Scan package is a range of ultrasound diagnostic scans examining the health and condition of the upper abdomen and pelvic area organs, including bladder and urinary tract.
One of our specialty scans includes Ovarian Cancer Screening, for which we hold a special licence.
TVUS (transvaginal ultrasound) uses sound waves to look at the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries It can help find a mass (tumour) in the ovary, but it can’t actually tell if a mass is cancer or benign. Further examinations with blood tests would follow up in case the scan shows any cause for concern.

How is the ultrasound scan performed?
Upper and lower abdominal area are scanned externally, with an ultrasound probe gently gliding over the abdomen.
Pelvic ultrasound, including Ovarian Cancer Screening, are performed internally- it is a trans-vaginal scan, where an ultrasound probe is gently inserted in order to provide most accurate diagnostics for organs including uterus, both ovaries and fallopian tubes.
